Morehead State University is among the best accredited Sonography schools in the world. The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at Morehead State University is an Option of the Area of Concentration in Imaging Sciences baccalaureate degree. Along with lecture courses, the program provides “hands-on” opportunities in state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and during clinical assignments at health care agencies associated with the program. Graduates may be eligible to sit for the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) National Certifying Examinations in the areas of sonographic physics and instrumentation, abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology. RIT’s Program combines a strong science education, practical experience, and liberal arts education to prepare you for a career in ultrasound, a related field, medical, dental, or graduate study. Rochester offers a bachelor degree in general ultrasound, as well as two certificate options in general ultrasound and echocardiography. Abdominal, small parts, obstetric and vascular ultrasound are covered in the school’s 184-credit bachelor degree program, which also includes an internship at two or more facilities.
